Course Summary

Are you a student who likes to make short films or documentaries, take photographs or write creative or journalistic stories? Are you a student who regularly looks at and engages with the media across a range of platforms and tries to make sense of what types of messages are being presented to you? If you answer yes to either or both of these questions then studying Media could be for you. A Level Media introduces you to a challenging mix of academic research and analysis exploring a range of media forms and genres from television to advertising as well as a strong focus on how the Internet has impacted on the media landscape. In addition to this, you will learn how to use a variety of software packages that will enable you to create your own professional quality media products.
